Employment Hero is the platform we use to manage all things employment at Inspired Living QLD. This guide walks you through the key things you will need to do as a team member — from checking your payslips to submitting a leave request.
If you get stuck at any point, reach out to Ella or the HR team. We are happy to help.
Section 01
Logging In
Setting up access and signing in to your account
Go to the Employment Hero app or website
You can access Employment Hero on your phone by downloading the Employment Hero app from the App Store or Google Play. Alternatively, visit app.employmenthero.com in any browser.
Enter your work email address
Use the email address you were onboarded with. If you are unsure which email to use, contact Ella.
Set your password on first login
When you are first set up in the system, you will receive an email from Employment Hero inviting you to activate your account. Follow the link in that email to set your password.
Forgotten your password?
On the login screen, select Forgot password and enter your email address. Employment Hero will send you a reset link. If you continue to have trouble, reach out to Ella.
Section 02
Submitting a Leave Request
How to request time off through Employment Hero
Go to the Leave section
From your dashboard, select Leave from the menu. On the app, this is usually in the bottom navigation bar or the main menu.
Select Request Leave
Tap or click Request Leave (or the plus icon). A form will open for you to fill in the details of your request.
Fill in your leave details
Select the type of leave, the dates you are requesting, and add any notes relevant to your request. For casual staff, leave type will generally be unpaid leave unless otherwise advised.
Submit your request
Tap Submit. Your manager will receive a notification and will approve or decline the request through the system. You will be notified once a decision is made.
Section 03
Viewing Your Payslips
Accessing and downloading your pay information
Go to Pay in the menu
From your dashboard, select Pay or Payslips from the menu. This section contains all of your payslip records.
Select a payslip to view
Your payslips are listed by pay period, most recent first. Tap on any payslip to open the full details, including hours worked, gross pay, deductions, and net pay.
Download or save a copy
You can download your payslip as a PDF directly from the app or browser. Tap the download or share icon within the payslip view.
Section 04
Submitting Your Resignation
Resignations must be submitted through Employment Hero
Resignations must go through Employment Hero
At Inspired Living QLD, all resignations are to be submitted formally through Employment Hero. This ensures the process is documented correctly and your final entitlements are calculated accurately.
Verbal resignations and email resignations are not accepted. If you tell your manager verbally or send an email, you will be directed back to Employment Hero to complete the formal submission.
Go to your Profile settings
From your Employment Hero dashboard, navigate to your profile. Look for Employment or My Employment in the settings menu.
Find the Resignation option
Within the employment section, you will find an option to submit a resignation. Select this and complete the form, including your intended last day of work.
Submit and await confirmation
Once submitted, the management team will be notified and will be in touch to confirm your offboarding process and final pay details.
Section 05
Updating Your Personal Details
Keeping your information current in the system
Go to your Profile
From the dashboard, tap your name or profile icon to open your personal profile. You can also find this under My Details or Profile in the menu.
Update your details
You can update your address, phone number, emergency contact, and personal email from within your profile. Select the relevant field and save your changes.
Update bank or super details
Bank account and superannuation details are managed under the Pay or Banking section of your profile. Update these promptly if your details change to avoid delays in payment.
Section 06
Reporting a Pay Discrepancy
The right way to raise a concern about your pay
Do not text or message about pay queries
If you notice what you think might be an error in your pay, please do not send a text message or email to your manager or to the office. Ad hoc messages can get missed and make it harder for us to track and resolve issues properly.
Use the Pay Discrepancy Form
We have a dedicated Pay Discrepancy Form for exactly this purpose. Submitting through the form means your query is logged, reviewed, and responded to in a consistent and timely way.
Access the form: Visit ilq.yourhrtoolkit.com.au/pay-discrepancy to submit a pay query. If you cannot find it, contact and we will send it to you directly.
What happens after you submit
Your form is reviewed by the payroll team. If there has been an error, it will be corrected in the next pay run or sooner where possible. You will be contacted directly to confirm the outcome.
Need Help?
If you get stuck at any point or have a question that is not answered here, reach out to a member of the team. We are happy to help.
